In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, camping, hiking, and traveling with friends and loved ones.
Alexis Leeper, LCSW
Meet Alexis
I've spent several years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, immersing myself in various mental healthcare settings. From the intensity of inpatient psychiatric hospitals to the focused support of residential treatment centers, the collaborative energy of partial hospitalization programs, the accessible care of intensive outpatient programs, and the dynamic environment of school social work – each step of my journey has deepened my understanding of the diverse ways people heal and grow.
My graduate education at the University of Tennessee's College of Social Work laid the foundation for my practice. I've since trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). These tools equip me to meet each client where they are, adapting my approach to their unique needs and circumstances.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to client-centered care. I believe in the power of a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Together, we'll collaborate to develop new coping strategies, process past traumas, manage the weight of depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, and disordered eating, and embrace neurodiversity.
Whether in-person or virtually in Texas or virtually in Florida, I'm here to guide you in unlocking the answers that already live within you, to walk beside you as you discover your inherent strength and resilience. Your healing journey is unique, and I'm honored to be a part of it. Please reach out – your path to self-discovery and growth is waiting.
